As most of you know, SiliconDust is working on a CableCARD version of their popular HD HomeRun tuner.  It looks like they are making some real progress, and just announced their CableCARD beta program, which you can sign up for at their site.  Keep in mind that this will probably only work with Windows Media Center.

More accurately, the version of Windows Media Center that comes on a Windows 7 machine. Older versions of WMC will not work with cable cards.
