It looks like SmartHome is getting close to releasing a new 'dual-band' INSTEON plug-in dimmable lamp module (model # is 2457D2).  It's basically an INSTEON LampLinc module (300W), which can also be used to bridge phases (similar to an INSTEON access point).  Since this module hasn't been announced yet, no other information is available.  I did include a copy of the Quick-Start guide which also includes a picture of the module.

Maybe now people wont need to buy 8 or 10 accesspoints and stack them on top of the PLM and other plug in devices to make them work.

No the bigger question, will they work with the accesspoints we are using now or will those have to go the way of the RFlincs  ???

LOL yeah it may be round 3 of the mesh wars. Or Strike 3.

Seriously I would hope not even SH could screw up that badly.

Along with the new LampLinc. The sales web pages also are showing two more new modules.

An out door ApplianceLinc and a Dual Mesh Serial Interface.

The 2413S Serial Interface reads like it is a PLM with RF capabilities added. :(
Maybe some that had to use a Access Point in the pass through outlet on their PLM can get one all in one unit.

The 2413S and U [yes a USB] modules. Block diagrams. Internal and external photos are in the FCC Type Acceptance Database.

The new LampLinc sales page indicates it can be used in place of Access Points.

Looks like they added these items AFTER I posted this article (I checked the SH site before posting), I guess the cat is out of the bag now.

Yes it looks like that. The new devices must have been added late yesterday; as they where not there when I looked.

Thought you would start new articles on the other modules. So I didn't add their links to the thread.

Thanks BLH! If you do find stuff that hasn't been posted yet, feel free to send me a PM.
