Automating iTunes

Anyone with an iPhone or iTouch should check out "Signal" from www.alloysoft.com

This XP/Mac application allows complete remote control of iTunes via WIFI using iTouch or iPhone. I am using it along with Homeseer to control my whole house iTunes music system. Very nice user interface!

Hi,

That looks good. It is nice that it works on PC as well as Mac.

I use the Mac-Only Remote Buddy. It not only provides an iTunes remote but general remote control of your mac and supports a bunch of different hardware including Wiimotes.

This is interesting. I am already using iTouch to control my HVAC and some parts of my Home theater system via Homeseer. See this thread:

I'm not sure why I would want to replace my existing TV remotes and I have yet to find any pronto IR codes for my Comcast HD cable box!

Updating this Thread, iTunes now provides a free application (named "Remote") for the iTouch/iPhone which provides remote control of iTunes. This is an outstanding application and can be downloaded from the App Store at itunes.com.

I use that app, works great!
