Automating with Google Desktop toolbar

i just created a gadget for the google toolbar that sends xPL messages to turn on/off x10 devices. the desktop toolbar is a pretty cool UI for automation. i have a brief writeup on my blog with a screenshot and the very basic sample gadget. you can instantiate any activex or COM you want - so you can replace the xPL one with homeseer, etc. it's very easy to code up.
