Aux Switches

I just put in my first 3 way. 1 dimmer and 2 Aux switches. I connected the blue wire on each aux switch to neutral for a blue LED. These LEDs stay on even when the light is on. The dimmer turns its LED off as expected when the light is turned on. Should I have not connected the blue wire on the aux switch for its LED to operate the same as a dimmer? Or are the LEDs on an aux switch always on?

The LED on the aux switch is always on if you connect it. It does not track the LED state of the master switch.

Ok, to clarify - if grey and blue are not connected thee is no LED at any time. If one or the other is connected the LED is always on. And both should never be connected at the same time.

Is that correct?

That's correct, but if you want the LED to be lit magenta you can connect both the blue and grey wires to neutral.

Yes, if you want to really get the LED status to match, install 2 master switches and link them together.
