I have a pair of Cambridge Soundworks T300 Tower speakers that have built in subwoofers. When I plug one of them in, it produces a low bass "pop" (more of a "whump") about every 5 - 10 seconds, and then after a few minutes it produces a low bass rumble that sounds like distant thunder. This happens even when the speaker wire is disconnected, and only the AC is plugged in with the speaker turned on. Does anyone have an idea of what might be causing this? I've tried putting the speaker on an AC Filterlinc, switching AC cords with the other speaker, and everything else I can check externally, but nothing changes it. Do I have a blown amp in the subwoofer?
Thanks for any ideas or advice.
