Yes I have a bunch of them. They "HUM" with some dimmers. I find that with the Insteon Dimmers they Hum but an old Lutron they dont. FYI the guy selling them is a decent guy and ships VERY fast. I get them in 2 days from ordering and he is in CA and I am in NY. I once bought on a Saturday and they arrived Monday so he shipped same day on a Saturday.

Do they heat up? Most of my ceiling lights are those kind with two bulbs sideways under a glass dome.

Cant say for sure if they heat up or not. Not that I noticed but I have not used them in that application yet.

they run much, much cooler than the incandesants they replace . . watts = heat


also, you can run a "75 watt CFL" (about 18 real watts) in fixtures that say 60 watt max
