Best VGA to Component converter/scaler

I am trying to find a good VGA to component scaler that will allow 16:9 resolutions to be used on the PC and converted appropriately to HD component video (in 720P or 1080i).

This is media player PC that I am connecting to my matrix switcher so it needs to be component video.

The PC had VGA, DVI and HDMI out - wish I could use the HDMI, but i can't.

Anyone got any experience with these units? There are a lot out there. I'm leaning toward the audio authority devices, but they are just a little more than i want to part with right now.

Thanks,
warren

Have you looked at the HD Fury devices? They output component video. Not sure how they compare to everything else you've been looking at.

My take? Stick with AA. They do an excellent job and I've never experienced a failure.

I did look at the HD Fury, and it may still be a possibility, however, I am going to try an ATI card with component out - $50. Hopefully this will work as the other solutions are going to be >$200 for a solid converter/scaler.
