Now that I have iTunes piped into my Russound I am getting nice tunes all over the house... except for my TV nook. Of course that is where I have my best audio equipment so its a shame that I couldn;t lisen to my whole MP3 library there. The quick answer is just to buy another Airport Express and pipe the iTunes in that way... but after this last set of ceiling speakers my funding has been locked down. So what to do in the interum?
My friend gave me a great hint that has ended up working pretty nicely. We are both Tivo owners and he suggested I give Audio Faucet a shot.
I installed this on my WHS along side of iTunes, the Airport Express software, etc and it worked like a jiffy. From my Tivo I am able to select playlists, songs, artists, etc and pipe them into my AVR.
I don't think this is a long term solution... it just can't stand up to control via iPod Touch with a Airport Express... but it is a nice low cost alternative.
