Blu-ray player with RS232

Does anyone know of a good blu-ray player with RS232 control (and, of course, a decently documented protocol)? I have a good Samsung player right now, nothings 'wrong' with it, but I wish it has RS232. I'm trying to stay away from IR commands, it seems unreliable. So I've thought about selling it and picking up a new one. Any recommendations?

Thanks,

Thanks!

I'm a big fan of Denon, so thats good news for me :( Their DBP-2010CI model has the RS232, MSRP$700, but from early searches seems it can be found $100-$150 less.

This project will have to go on the back burner for a while with that price, but looks promising!

I just bought a OPPO digital BDP-83 with optional RS 232 control. I haven't integrated the RS232 on it yet but I can say the player is great so far. Check it out http://www.oppodigital.com/blu-ray-bdp-83/ and see what you think. Note: you do have to order one with the optional RS232 port and it does cost extra.

More and more options =) It's a shame there arn't any blu-ray players designed to plug into a quality pre/pro. I don't need fancy DAC's or processors on the unit, the quality in the pre/pro are superior and I'd rather send a raw digital stream to it.
