OK guys and gals....I have a question for you.

This evening I went ahead and unboxed my wired contact sensors for each of my doors. I see that my builder put in a 3/4" stopper to hold the wires in the frame of the door. I see my sensors are only 3/8" wide....what can I do?

A. Send back my sensors and get 3/4" sensors....

B. Is there a white rubber stopper or grommet which I can put in the hole to hold my sensor?

Dave

"A" would probably be the easiest to remedy without worrying about them popping out randomly.

B. You could try to use a 3/4" wooden dowel and drill the center and maybe be able to use the 3/8" contacts.

You can use the 3/8 to 3/4 adapters, but if it were me, I'd get the 3/4 sensors. The adapters do not look as nice, plus they cause the sensor to protrude a small but noticable amount, sometime enough to cause interference with the door.

Switch to the 3/4 sensors. You will be happier.
