Vitamin DVitamin D Video detects people and moving objects in video streams for security and monitoring purposes.

It runs on a PC or Mac, and uses off-the-shelf USB webcams or network (IP) cameras.

While the Vitamin D features are mostly basic, its motion detection feature stands out thanks to the use of HTM (Hierarchical Temporal Memory) machine learning model.

Unfortunately, the software development has come to a halt due to lack of funding, but is still for sale and supported via their forums.

There are 3 editions: Starter (1 low-res cam, but free), Basic (2 cams) and Pro (unlimited cams).
