Noticed the other link has different stuff. Thinking they are the same?
Here that whole camera thing started slow many many years ago. Initially it was using combination analog Optex cameras. They are still in place today. I have updated the optics on these over the years. They are so modular that fitting them with the new IP HD camera boards would be a simple task. These and a variety of analog cameras used to plug in to Kodicom (one time two) 8 port capture cards in early Zone Minder boxes. I also went to using the Leviton HAI combo touch screen and video hub a while ago. Mostly though playing with different kinds of cameras. (here still have a couple of the older Panasonic SD PT IP cameras which work fine today).
Over the years started to play with Grandstream cams and Grandstream OS boards and a variety of different lenses. I fit the Grandstream OS boards in Speco outdoor dome housings. It was plug n play. The Grandstream OS camera boards from the above mentioned vendors and what I did are described here.

I have pretty much stayed now with using Grandstream and Grandstream OS camera boards. Stock features on the Grandstream OS camera boards (have bits and pieces here) include USB SD, WLAN (which I do not use), SIP, et al. The original boards that I purchased had much more that the stock Grandstream cameras sold here and are available with different lenses.
Many (thinking all today) cams have 2-3 views of other cams (a bit over lap). Cams are installed at the 2nd floor level with overviews, first floor level and out/in here. Cams are facing in from the periferals of the home and facing out from the home out. Note it was mostly relating to the hobby of the stuff and that I have run much infrastructure underground over the years. Goofing around you can install cams on your dock facing the home and cams on your home facing the dock. The OmniPro legacy and newer IP touchscreens can see all of the cams along with my tabletop touchscreens.
Using Zone minder and the triggers script you can also go analog with motion detection. Initially started using xAP and X10 with Zone Minder here a few years back. Today you can rig up some analog box if you want for this stuff.
Relating to recording triggers and stuff over the years; the video algorithm stuff sort of works but its really not something that I would depend on. That said outdoor motion detection is a real PITA. I do utilize multiple means of analog outdoor motion detection stuff (which is another hobby) and mostly because I have a lot of infrastructure that use and reuse for different stuff.
It's been relatively quiet in FL. Over the years have made friends with a few of the residents of the tiny subdivision. Many though today are dead as they were already old when I met them. Neighbor's father was a mayor of the town (thinking in the 1950's) but there wasn't much of a town then. Just found out yesterday he had a stroke a few days ago. Hoping he recovers soon. (he used to write for television in the 1960's). Geez he helped me install my weather station a few years ago. (he had a older Davis wired station which didn't work anymore). I set up his one IPad in his home to be a weather station monitor. I personally liked the original home footprint at sea level. It was though mostly wood and falling apart by the 1990's. Updating it became a futile endeavor such that is was better to tear it down and build new.

I used have a yellow nape and the two parrots (well current one was a baby) lived in my back yard in the 1970's (rental while in school) for a few years. The back yard was open and the birds lived on perches and never did fly much (didn't trim their feathers every). The Amazon Yellow Nape was older when I got her. She could only be handled with gloves and while I did train her she would mostly bite strangers. The Blue Crown came from Guatamala (on a lark trip crazy friend drove to the amazon via the panamanian central highway one day - well for weeks). I had never really seen the Yellow Nape fly much until one day when I was holding her she just flew away (after 3 years of staying with me) and I never saw her again.
She had been plucked from the mother's nest and smaller than the palm of my hand (guessing I imprinted her). Geez friend did get a bunch of those little tiny frogs in the Amazon which paid for his little venture. He was also a photography and zoologist and took some neato pictures. (well also brought back monkeys, baby toucans, spiders, snakes ....well whatever fit in his truck).
Kika (parrot) was there before my children. That said the parrot / kids have always gotten along fine and today my grandchildren get their kicks from helping me feed her (Kika is very good with them). She is and always has been very jealous of the women in my life for whatever reason.
