I have white oak hardwood floors which are quite old and with natural oil based finish. We usually clean simply with damp cloth and mixture of bleach and water. We have been following it from quite some time. Now I have got a new space downstairs with victorian hardwood flooring, finished with oil-based urethane. I found an article on cleaning tips for victorian hardwood flooring http://www.rbcclean.com/blog/cleaning-tips/tips-for-cleaning-victorian-hardwood-floors/ .It gives many tips ranging from cleaning using boiled water and tea bag. I want more tips on cleaning options for my new flooring. Would like to adopt professional methods adopted by high level industrial cleaning services. I cannot afford experiments with my new flooring. Please chime in with your valuable suggestions.
