Clearing AC power had Trbl message from LTE on console

So I’ve tried everything I can think of and I cannot get the message to clear. Seems straightforward, 8 (enter master code), 3, 0 (to clear all messages), # to accept. But the message remains. What am I missing?

Press the asterisk button.

On a keyboard console here hit asterisk  ( * ) to clear error messages.  No master code is required.

Im back with this problem again. This time the message is BATTERY LOW TRBL NOW and pressing the asterisk does not stop the keypad from beeping. Im away from the home until may so I cant change the battery. I have people staying in the home and the beeping is driving them nuts. Is there any other way to stop the keypad from beeping?

You can press the 4 and UP arrow at the same time for a few seconds to get into the console settings to turn off the sounder.
