Comcast and HDHomerun problems

Well I guess my luck changed today of all days. This morning I went to watch the Thanksgiving parade in SageTD and discovered that my HDHomerun setup was not working. Sometime between after midnight and the morning something happened. At this point I am not sure if Comcast made a change to block un-encrypted channels, my HDHomerun developed a hardware problem or something else.

Looks like I have some work ahead of me besides eating turkey.

try doing a rescan. we've slowly been losing channels as comcast encrypts them but i think broadcast channels should stay unencrypted.

Well it looks like they remapped the un-encrypted HD channels and I am in the process of trying to get them mapped back into SageTV. I took the time to upgrade the HDHomerun software. One of the more unpleasant tasks when setting up SageTV IMHO as it took me awhile to get them all setup last time.

Same thing happened to me the last 2-3 days. I'll need to remap as well. Comcast had been doing some of the upgrading work in the last month here. I just unchecked the channels in sage for now and we're watching off of the Motorola box for now. Didn't want wife to find out and risk losing WAF.

Well I upgraded both the HDHomerun software and firmware and the SageTV software (which was long overdue) and rescanned and remapped everything. It is all working fine now at least until they decide to screw with it some more.

I have to say that the new versions of both the HDHR and SageTV seemed to make it easier to do this time around so kudos to both companies.
