Contact dilemma - windows in series

Let me set the stage... I have a bank of 3 windows on one zone.  The bank tested out OK pre drywall/trim.

Post drywall/trim (contacts are buried under trim), I cant get the zone to go secure.

HAI panel - loop reading 250ish, just like other contact zones.

Getting ready to ask contractor to pull down trim for me.  I toned out the line clear to the end, but of course that doesn't rule out a short, just shows conductivity to the end - Right.  There is a resistor on the end of the zone.

Can someone help me to understand what the loop readings mean?  Any thoughts.  Newbie, so troubleshooting steps are not top of mind.

Perhaps trim nail through cable?  With the line being supervised (resistor on end), whats the best way to find issue.

Thanks.

My research on the loop readings indicates there isnt a short - number would be low - correct?

Perhaps bad contact then, thats not closing.

250 is open.

Sounds like they hit the wire with a nail gun or screw installing the trim or drywall

Thanks... checking with contractor this morning.

I am unable to log into the Knowledge Base - for some reason my user and pass isnt working anymore, and I cant find a reset option.

Any way to upload the file, or paste the pertinent contents in this post.

Thanks again to those who offered info.  Turned out to be a broken wire.  Not sure how, but because I ran a four conduction wire throughout the entire house, I was able to leverage the other pair and resolve the issue.

I just finished checking out all the other contacts/motions in the house.  All are good.

Solid/stranded really has no bearing on "permanent" house wiring unless you're talking audio or the need for the cabling to remain flexible (IE: movable item, etc.)  The only item that stranded would have going for it is it's easier to solder.
