I have been having problems with the Z-wave setup with my ELK-M1G. I have 90% of my home with the Cooper Aspire RF Switches and the rest are Levitons RF switch. I am useing Leitons RS-232 module. and have homeseer also running. I have Accosiated all my Dimmers/Switches with the RS-232. With the M1G When I turn on a Leviton switch it works just fine. and when I turn on a Aspire RF switch is where I have problems. Turning them on from the M1G that is. What happends is when I turn on the Switch the M1G reports it going on and then a Few Sec. Later reports that it is off. Even thoe the Light did go on and stays on after its reporting that the light is off!! I am guessing there is a problem with the Cooper Aspire Switch with the M1G.

My first question is, is there a way to fix this?

If not Does this problem also happen with HAI OmniPro II? any one with an OmniPro II have aspire RF Switches and it working? For me the number of Switches that I have it would be a lot cheaper to switch the Pannel and the Switches.

Yes I know I could have Homeseer just run the lighting and it would work fine but I want to have this working right from the pannel. As for my HA needs I really have very basic needs and would like to go down to just the pannel running. (Some lights go on at night and off) (And with motion turn on a hall light at night) thats really the main thing I do at this point!

I also see that HAI now is working with the Carrier infinity system. For me a big +. Yes Right now I have my M1G running the Carrier but it has less features than the HAI abilitly with the carrier. And yes I know it is just one more feature added.

Thanks in advance for any help or info on this.

Scott - Why not convert your HomeSeer software installation to a HomeTroller? That would give you the type of "panel" reliability and simplicity you're looking for and would be the best option for direct Z-Wave control (coupled with integration to your M1G). We've worked pretty closely with the Cooper engineers over the past 4 years; it's pretty doubtful you're going to get the same level of performance and integration out of either of the other options.

my .02 cents.

Doesn't Homeseer interact well with hai? Or are you saying that elk interacts better?
