Creston to Zwave

I think this is pretty cool for z-wave. I would never buy crestron but it is cool that high dollar popular systems are adopting z-wave.
 
Actually, Crestron and similar repackage many "readily available" (cheaper) technologies and products for their own proprietary systems. The price is usually multiples of what you can buy the original component for (Airpanel as example), but Crestron adds their value of a trained dealer network, support, drivers, marketing for the dealer, brand recognition, testing, inventory, etc.

This stuff costs real money and is important for the dealer that makes his living on selling and maintaining HA / HT setups in the field. That's why the "same" thing costs multiples more when Crestron puts their name on it. Of less value for the DIY'r, but of high value to a pro.
