Custom voice messages on elk M1

I would like the elk m1 to say "take (garbage or trash out)" the trouble is garbage or trash is not in it's vocab list. Is there a way to do custom messages or a adapter to use several recoreded phrases.

You can record your own custom messages using your telephone handset.

I don't have a phone hooked up to this system any way to do it through a pc?

I don't think so at this time. There is talk of being able to import .wav files in the future. Why not hook up a phone to the system temporarily?

Not really. You would need an Elk-124 and 129 to do custom voices and pc downloads. Search here for "Elk-129" and you will find several posts.

I didn't find the word "our" and couldn't be bothered to record it so I used "are". Now we are greeted by "are home is disarmed" Our ELK voice has taken on a nice pirate brogue complete with rolling its r's !

If you don't mind an offbeat message, how about using the following words:

Off All Day Is Now

Where "Off All" is "offal" ... the innards of slaughtered animals. You'll never forget "Trash Day" again ...




... or you can tell people it sounds like "awful" ...

Elk M1 Gold really needs more than 500 vocabulary words, but that means more memory for Elk...

I might have to suggest about 750... Plus, how about 20 blocks instead of 10 and 25 "custom voice messages" (Elk RP: Automation -> Voice -> System Miscellaneous)?

This'd be great if you don't want a PC involved to speak out text as passed by Elk M1 Gold.
