device that will play audio when it is powered up?

Any opinions on the audio quality coming out of the Elk-124? At least as good as a decent MP3 player I would hope?

A number of years ago I used one for a county Nature Center. I installed it and a pushbutton inside a rock speaker. they wanted it to tell about turtles when you pushed the button. As I recall, it sounded pretty decent. Good enough for turtle-talk, at least.

The ELK-124 was perfect for me. The built-in mic seems more than adequate for my use. The built-in volume controllable amp is also more than fine for my outdoor Halloween sound effects.
