In 1 of the posts on this board ... I put 1 and 1 together to solve a giant issue, and hope this might help someone.
I have had DirectX failures for over a year and a number of games and video issues that I was plagued with (open $$ trouble tickets with MS and Atari, and ATI) but the real cause
the Smarthome 1132 HID controller plugged in issue!
This device locks up the HID so DirectX can not function properly (DirectInput issues)
I never thought I would solve this issue.. reading here.
My hat is off to all that contribute.
