Distributed audio control via Elk M1

I'm looking to use Elk M1 to control distributed audio (nothing too complicated - e.g. 2 sources and 2 zones) and use M1 touch screens to drive it. All the music is on a Thecus network storage unit that has DLNA server and iTunes server running.

NuVo and a few others claim that they can fully integrate with M1, but I have not seen this in action.

It's a new house and I'd prefer to run a few extra cables rather than using wireless connection (e.g. Sonos)

What works best from your experience?

Any tips and feedback is appreciated.

Distributed audio with the M1 is available today with Russound CAV series. The next software release will include Nuvo and Proficient Audio. You need a TS071 or ELKRM software to control the audio. They work through the M1XEP Ethernet module and an IP232 module at the audio equipment to get it on the Ethernet.
