Drone for Home Security

Interesting read BSR.

Last year we went to one of those theme weddings at a resort.  It was nice except the drones taking videos everywhere was low on the WAF.

I didn't hear them but did see the lights at night.

The good news is that totally knocking out a drone's camera with even a low-power laser is not difficult. Apple recently updated its tech notes on the iPhone to exclude laser damage as a warranty covered item.

It often seems so awkward when you see drones taking video shoots at a wedding venue. But then we need to understand the potential risks. Certain security measures have become mandatory keeping with the threats of a particular locality or region.

Current FAA regulations require that quad, hex, octo copters (AKA drones) be flown in direct line of sight. I don't see that here.
