Elk Dual reporting (landline+uplink) to NextAlarm?

In the Elk model, one can program several phone numbers to "always report to that phone number". Does that really mean that if I choose that option for both landline and Uplink, it's going to report it twice? I tried that but NextAlarm logged just one message, which is suspicious (can they know it's the same message originally, one coming to them through the phone, the other from Uplink)?

BTW, I seem to have bum[ped intpo a small issue with the Uplink telephone config in RP. When I pick "7 serial expander" as a reporting type, the phone number and dialing attempts field gray out and can't be written too. owever, it _seems_ that if it is left like that (attempts=0), there is no reporting to Uplink. One has to go elsewhere and come back to the screen (now both fields are writable...) and update the atempts field to a non-zero value.

I would assume that the Elk would only switch to the secondary if it failed to communicate via the primary. Is it logged anyplace when the Elk has to switch to the secondary? I would think it would be very useful to know if you are having connection issues.

No logging, that's my issue. Not sure what's happening.
Note that Elk has a notion of one phone being the backup of the other (which I am not using here), so if both are "always report...", it _should_ do both, not use a backup scheme.

I got the answer from NextAlarm:

"We do collapse identical signals received immediately one after another (within the same minute). This is to reduce load on our central station."

So it would seem dual reporting probably works. I haven't tried to confirm it (by changing the reporting codes for instance).
