Elk email and counters

Can the Elk ethernet expander (M1XEP) send counter values in email? I can only get it to send static text. I need to do this to create a debug log over time for the HVAC multizone code that I have written. I'd like to know what the temperature readings for a zone was when the room asked for heat/cool. Perhaps there is a better way to do logging with the Elk.

You can send embedded counter values out the RS-232 port but all the text strings in email are static.

Oh - how do you do that? Some folks were just asking about how to display counter values in CQC.

Another member has been working on some code to do data logging from the M1, though it's not ready yet. See this thread.

Yes, we'd love it if the M1 could send dynamic email data! I'd like to be able to set the subject, body text and priority dynamically.
