Hi All,
I have read a thread about keypads resettting themselves or apparently temorarilly shorting out and then coming back. I can't find the thread at the moment or i would have posted there.
I just wanted to chime in and let people know i recently had the same thing happen to my KP2. I can home and when i pressed the first or second digit of my disarm code the keypad went black. It came back shortly after leaving about 3 seconds for me to enter the code.
This is a new install with properly tested wires, all the keypad wires are crimped using the ELK gel connectors...it's EXTEMELY unlikely that this is a loose wire issue.
There was nothing special about that day that would cause static electricity.
Just wanted to post this so that other don't think they (or their wifes) are crazy.
