So I am getting around to hooking up my ELK and I'm curious about the best way to get a really loud alarm with the wiring I pulled during construction.
Basically, I have a single gang box on each floor (3) that I pulled a 4 conductor 22ga cable.
I originall purchase a single in-wall siren and after hooking up, they aren't that loud. I've hooked them up to out1 on the elk (just 1 for right now).
It looks like out1 can be used with speakers for voice or with a siren.
I'm also planning to either a) put a siren outside or <_< in garage.
I guess I'm kind of open at this point. I'm not sure if I am going to use the voice part of the elk at this point. If I do, I have another path I can use to get the voice near the keypads (extra ceiling speaker wire).
Suggestions?
Thanks,
W
