Elk M1 Gold and water detection

I'm working on adding water/flood alarms to my home. I'm using RE119 wireless 'disaster sensors' for this, and they tested out quite nicely. Now, I'm just trying to decide what to do for the alarm logic. The standard M1G water sensor logic seems to be to trigger the siren immediately. I'm thinking something a little less drastic might be in order lest someone splash water out of the tub sometime only to set off sirens all over the house.

I do have a solenoid valve on hand, but as of yet I have not installed it.

Anyone else who has water sensors installed care to share how you've configured the system?

A different mechanism would be to change cut-off timer 10 to '0'. I believe this method will still cause all the alarm responses to be automatically invoked (keypad beeping, communicator invoked, etc..) without sirens wailing. The aux zone type provides the most flexible response though.
