Elk M1 Gold power supply voltage

Hi all,

I read the power supply should have 2.5-3 Amps, but what about the max voltage the M1 can take?

I'm not finding power supplies with 16.5V, only 14V and 18V. I don't trust the 14V they sell in my area, the 18V looks much better and it is 2.5A.

Let me know what you guys think. BTW, I live in Brazil, my city runs at 220V 60Hz

Thanks, I didn't know that.
I found several simple inductive transformers that are all AC by design, now I just need to know the max voltage accepted.

I live in China (220/50hz). I'm running my M1 using a step down transformer brick with no problems. You could also use a power line conditioner which outputs both 110v AND 220v. Plus you get the advantage of very clean, stable A/C power to boot.

I will be using conditioners on my final install of my M1. Right now I am just using transformers while I bench test everything. It's all been running 2 months continously without a hitch.
