Elk M1 Gold whole house audio

I was wondering if russound is my only choice in compatible whole house audio with my Elk M1 Gold, I'm not comfortable with the fact that the Cav 6.6 caught on fire on someone's site (I'm sure it was a fluke) But I was wondering if perhaps Nuvo or some other multi zone network based receiver would be compatible? Also keep in mind I also have an ISY 99i

I can't speak for the ISY but I do know that the elk is compatible with Nuvo as well. Check our their website for integration partners and you'll see the other manufacturers.

Though I haven't tied it to the M1G yet, according to Elk, Proficient Audio is compatible. I have the two Proficient M6 units and will give it a go in the future.

Do you guys have any recommendations for model types? Also I use windows home server so I wonder if I can install a client and either the Nuvo or Proficeint receiver will automatically pick it up

I have two Proficient Audio M6 units. They are 6-zone, 6-source, whole-home audio controllers. They can be tied into the network with an optional controller, that I have, but never really needed to use it. I have 13 keypads around the house. Since I don't have any touchscreens for HomeSeer yet, I haven't felt the need to tie it in. I am very happy with the performance of these units. I have had them four years.
