Hi There
I am new to the forum, but have lurked here for some time.
Has anyone attempted to use more than 1 lighting technology in the same M1 installation at the same time?
Elk indicates that it supports a multitude of different technologies, but does not state explicitly that it can handle a mixture of types.
I wonder if there would be conflicts, since links seem to be placed at arbitrary device locations which I think would overlap.
Reason I ask is that I have quite a few insteon devices, which I retired when my Insteon PLC went south. I also have a modem (2412S) which I could not use
because the Elk did not support it.
Initial issues with Insteon quality caused me to test and adopt UPB, which I am quite happy with (about 20 devices)
Now that Elk is supporting the 2412S, I was thinking about using my remaining Insteon devices that have not failed (6). I have a spare M1XSP that I could use for this purpose.
Just wondering if anyone knows for sure that this will/will not work, before spending a bunch of time installing and configuring.
I Really appreciate all I have learned from this forum. You guys Rock!
