Elk M1G - Persistent Bypass?

Hi, All...

New to Elk but I've managed to get it all installed and programmed! Yeah!

Anyways, I have a motion sensor that is technically 'outside' my burglar perimeter. Under normal day-to-day use, I've been bypassing this zone prior to arming. Upon return, I disarm and now I have to re-bypass when leaving/arming next time. I've considered setting this to an alternate 'area' or disabling...

I guess I'm wondering if there is a way to make the bypass 'stick' until manually un-bypassed? Given my particular arrangement, is there another way to handle the day-to-day?

thanx.

You probably want to set this zone to a type 16 NON-ALARM zone. Then you can still program rules based on this zone.

Or use rules to bypass the zone automatically. If you never want it to sound an intrusion alarm, then do as stated above and make it a non-alarm zone. If it is just certain situations that you want it to be bypassed, see if you can't figure out some rules that hit all the right times.
