Elk M1Gold and M1XEP Error

I am trying to get my M1XEP to connect to the web so I can Connect to it remotely. I have AT&T uVerse and I have tried different setups opened ports, opened all ports to the device however i receive this error while testing:

"Test Failed.
The M1XEP could not resolve the server's URL or detected a bad IP address........."

I have the M1XEP directly connected to my uVERSE router and has a static IP address. I opened several ports and still unable to connect.

You've set up the port forwarding in your router, I assume?

It doesn't sound like he's to the point of router config - it sounds like basic configuration isn't done yet.
