ELK-M1TWA Cable Lengths

The manual for the ELK-M1TWA says to mount the board as close as possible to the M1G controller. So how long are the two cables that come with the M1TWA? Can I mount it in a separate can from the controller? I am thinking about arranging the Elk 12" can and directly below it mount a 38" can. I would put the M1TWA in the 38" can. Will the cables reach?

FYI... I just heard back from Elk (Brad Weeks). The TWA cables are 24 inches. That means they should easily be long enough to place the TWA in a separate can from the M1G controller. Of course, the cans should be adjacent to each other...but I was planning on that already.
