Elk Navigator: dimmed screen needs to go bright on event

I have an Elk M1 Gold with a Navigator keypad in the master bedroom; the screen brightness set to low so as to not interfere with sleeping. The F1 and F2 keys on the Navigator have illumination events defined to light up when motion is detected in the family room (Zone 15) or the garage door is open (Zone 17). The F keys do illuminate but the screen stays dim. What I'd like is for the Navigator to "wake up" and get brighter (as if someone had pressed a key on it) so we could be alerted. I'd also like to add an intermittent beep, e.g. every 30 or 60 seconds) when the F2 key is illuminated by the garage door sensor going unsecure at certain time period, e.g. dark outside.

Any thoughts or suggestion. TIA

Beep keypads can be done via a rule, setting a phantom output or similar. I don't believe you're going to be able to get the screen to light up via a software event, I went back and forth with Elk doing similar with a standard KP a year or so ago, trying to find a solution for a client.

SOLVED: Went another direction to reach my goal. Gave up on using the Navigator as my alert mechanism. Decided to use a z-wave lamp module (Home Settings / Intermatic). When motion is sensed, Elk sends On to z-wave module; when motion ceases, Elk sends off. The lamp module has a green indicator on top, beside the manual on/off switch. At night with the bedroom dark, that indicator on top shines upwards and illuminates the ceiling. If we wanted, we could plug in any device (nightlight, table lamp, etc) to the lamp module, but the green indicator light suffices for now. Where there's a will (and an Elk M1), there's a way!

It would be a lot easier if Elk would add rule "keypad brightness control" to the list...Also needed this feature.
