Elk RM Problem

Hi, I hope somebody can tell me what I am doing wrong. I have Elk RM software on my pc. When I try to connect with my M1, I can't. I just keeps saying Connecting, attempting to connect, the I get a lost communications will retry in ##Seconds. In the comm setup in RM I have set it for Network, Set the IP, & set the port. I think I connected for a few seconds yesterday and the lost comm. I know there is nothing wrong with the network connections, I use the same PC to run RP and connect to the panel with no problems. Also in the RM I have entered my product key.
Any suggestions.....

You aren't still connected with RP when trying to use RM, are you? You cannot connect with both at once.

Can you confirm you are connecting to the insecure port? The secure port is not supported afaik. Even if RP is connected, RM should still be able to connect, it will just announce that the panel is in programming mode.

If you are connecting to the insecure port, then the next step is to confirm that it is working. Go to a dos prompt, and execute 'telnet ip.of.xep insecure.port.of.xep'.

Dan, Thanks....I enabled a nonsecure port and poof.... I was right in.
