Enclosure Size

Unsure of what size if enclosure to get.

Here is what will be in it:

- 25 runs of cat6
- 25 runs of coax
- cable modem
- some type of panel for cat6
- Ethernet switch
- coax splitter
-Modulator

Any suggestions on size?

I've got a 28" Elk for about that much cabling and components with the exception being the switch I run is only 10 ports. Hardest item is going to keep the cables out of the way for anything in the top of the enclosure until you break it out.....sometimes using multiple entries helps these items.

Thanks for the responses!

I agree that buying everything up front would be the way to go, but unfortunately, I don't have that kind of cash flow right now and need to do some more research on the exact components that I want.

I've seen some do keystone connections inside the enclosure for cat6. Is this a good way to terminate or would or would a patch panel be the way to go. I realize they are essentially the same.

I agree bigger gives more flexibility for future expansion. I'm kinda new to all of this so it's hard for me to imagine what else I would be doing besides network, video, and maybe distributing some modulated channels.
