Export rules as text

Hi folks,
 
I'm trying to export rules as text so I can put it to my github account so I have a backup. It can also be used by owners of Elk as a reference. The first thing I tried was highlighting all the rules and then copying it to clipboard. When I launched Notepad, paste was still disabled. I'm stuck
 
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have to admit I've never done this as I just print my entire account to PDF and store it in an encrypted container, but I do have this from my notes:
 
From ELKRP select:
Rules,
Click the PRINT button on the top toolbar,
Select This Account,
Select Preview,
Only check the RULES selection,
Select OK
Right Click and select Export
Select Text and Disk Files
Enter File name

Export as the CR document, then convert either to PDF or .XLS when you export (look at the file types). You don't need to do the text/disk files portion necessarily. Formatting can be hit/miss due to the export from CR.
 
What I like to recommend, as it is common practice on the large systems and panels I'm working on (that don't have a server and/or backups) is to get in the habit of putting the latest copy of your DB on a flash and put in the panel. Very typical to do with FACP's (and actually required).

I'm good now. After the pdf got displayed, I saved it as an Excel spreadsheet where I was able to highlight the text.
