ExpressVPN money back guarantee and how they avoid giving it to you...

Was going to China for a few weeks and wanted a VPN so signed up for ExpressVPN. They have a 30 day money back guarantee and it didn't work. Might have been partly due to the crappy connections at the hotels and such but even on the work network it didn't work. I got back within the 30 days and cancelled. They offered me a free month which I didn't ask for, want, or use. They just enabled my account for an additional month. At the end of that month when I didn't get a refund I contacted them and asked for it. They said since it was over 30 days I wasn't entitled to a refund. Seems like an underhanded way to avoid any refund.

After I sent them another note spelling out how I thought it was a lame way to avoid a refund they said they are processing a refund. Hardly worth the trouble for the amount but still irksome.
