External antenna for Uplink 2550UL

Ok. LET ME TELL YOU! I got a stinking $20 antenna. Signal is good. Is it better? I don't know. The problem is...not the signal! There's an issue between Uplink and Alarm Relay. So! What's an alternative to Alarm Relay that's equally priced? Should I return the antenna?

The clock is ticking. Am just asking for alternatives in case they resolve the issue.
That said, I think my issue is they blamed the problem on me, which cost me money. Then they realize the problem is on their end and blame Uplink -- I don't know where the problem is and don't care. I guess not everyone is a problem solver but I never tell my clients it was someone else's fault. I say: "I'll fix the issue" and I do.

I believe NextAlarm supports the UPLink (http://info.nextalarm.com/help/cell-backup) service for what’s its worth. I am very happy with NextAlarm using POTS. I just reconfigured a few zones last night and added two Elk AUX zones for improved logging notification.

I may be forced to switch to non-POTs alarm communication solution and considering purchasing a UPLink 2500 (Elk compatible). Is there anybody else that is using UPLink and NextAlarm.

Another Uplink provider I found was GeoArm. Havent used them though, but it seems to be hard finding reviews for monitoring companies in general. Looking for reviews on cell monitoring seems even harder.

Gotta watch all of these companies to make sure they are actual physical UL listed central stations. They cant get that cheap per month for no reason! (although I find it quite interesting that once you start doing something outside the box, like cell monitoring instead of POTS, all of the "discount" monitoring companies end up at non-discounted prices)

From a dealer and integrator standpoint, I know what the possible issues are and I won't point fingers, but I'll allude to some basics of how the hardware works for people to connect the dots themselves.

I would ask what format AR is getting from Uplink. Uplink simply receives the data from either the panel direct (serial on the 2500, or summed bell trigger/dry contact) or dialer capture (2550 and similar). Uplink receives the data from the panel directly then retransmits to the CS. There may be some latency, but they only retransmit what they receive. In the case of a dialer capture, the unit transmits the exact data that is received from the panel, except for the CS # and acct. # (they don't matter in dialer capture) and the data is on it's way to Uplink to be transmitted to the CS.

How that data is ported to the CS varies due to the CS, it can either come in direct IP to a virtual receiver or be retransmitted as POTS to either a standard or virtual receiver. The data is going to be sent using a standard format, either IP or in the case of retransmission, CID (typical) or SIA. If the account is templated incorrectly or ported incorrectly, that is where the data typically fails or issues arise. Unless there's majorly non-standard configuration being done by the dealer on the Uplink side, the data either exists or it does not, the only other possiblity is the automation software filtering out events or causing non-existant events to be "anticipated" (like a dialer test or similar) then be flagged and summed to the operators.
