GE NX-548e Enclosure Kit - Hard to Remove

Hi, y'all. I'm having trouble removing the back plate from the enclosure kit.

After removing the screw that attaches the back plate (where the NX-548e gets installed) from the enclosure, I don't know where I can pull the mounting plate off.

The GE-NX548e manual did not give me detailed instructions, even if removing the screw from the mounting base is obvious.

The reason why I want to install NX-548e in an enclosure is I had trouble installing the NX-548E inside my Elk panel. I realized that I can't install it inside, because there's no knockouts on the top of the panel and I don't have a tool for that, except for a multiple-bit screw driver that I have. I did read the instructions for the enclosure kit, and they didn't give me instructions on how to remove the mounting base from the packaging, either!

Just one more reason to use the Elk M1XRF. Great product, great instructions. No special tools required.

Heh heh... Thanks for advocating M1XRF2G for me. I just wanted NX-458e, since I won't have that many wireless devices for my apartment.

Plus, I don't have to worry about running wires through a RS-485 databus as I don't have a databus hub, so I don't have that much space inside the panel.

If you are using the NX-569 enclosure for the NX-548E, after removing the bottom screw the case opens by lightly prying from the bottom the the case apart. You will then be able to snap mount the 548E board in the case.

I tried, but it required a lot of force... Not even be able to damage the bottom of enclosure is quite possible. :(

But thanks for your help. I just got it to work.

Oh, one thing that I'd like to mention is I broke the antenna wires to the NX-548e and I have to re-soldier it, but I'm not comfortable doing with soldering...
