GE Wireless Crystal Sensor with External wired contacts?

I am trying to find a sensor compatible with my M1G wireless receiver (M1XRF2G) that can be connected to an external microswitch.


I have a gate opener that I want to use as a sensor for my M1G. The opener has microswitches that I can connect to to tell m if the gate is closed or not. There is no room for a regular magnetic switch, so I want to use the existing micrositch as a feed to a sensor.

Yup, in fact you can bypass the internal reed switch and add external wiring to just about any with some basic solder skills. I do it all the time.

I actually just installed a 650 with 2 external NC contacts and cut out the 2 internal reeds as the documentation says but it was not working properly. I need to go back to the site and see whats going on. I think it was saying 'Violated, Force Armed' and would not change.

You might want to check that option 1 & 2 are toggled in RP. (under wireless setup/transmitter) I don't have the instructions in front of me, but a quick look at my account in RP shows all these units I use external contacts on have option 1 and 2 toggled on. All that I use the internal reed switch on do not.

That's likely it. Blxmn is right about checking off Option 1 and 2 in wireless setup in RP. I just installed 2 NX-652s today, cut out the reed switches, and couldn't get it to work. Then I remembered those options, checked them off, and they're working fine.
