glass breaks to omnipro 2

Hi Cocooners...any suggestions for installing these? I can't find any information specific to the actual wiring and how the zone output is configured. Right now I have one (interlocking solution 2000) wired to zone 10 in perimeter mode w the Black and red power wires in auxiliary power. Forgive me if I'm using incorrect terminology I'm a total newb. Thanks!

They wire up like other sensors. Parameter is a good choice. If it trips otherwise, it tells my wife to stop breaking the glasses.

I don't know about your model, but mine, once tripped will flash its LED, so it needs to get connected to switched power, like some smoke alarms so when you turn the alarm off then back on, it resets. That way when you turn the alarm off the LED stays on so you can find which sensor tripped, then it resets when you turn the alarm back on.

Wow. UTC still sells the old Caddx glassbreak detectors.

Sorry, off on a tangent. UTC/GE/Whoever they call themselves now bought all these older companies and rebadged their products and haven't really changed the engineering on them. That same basic GBD has been out there for close to 20 years.

Ano, they don't need to get connected to switched power. Almost every GBD on the market has an option for latching or not. That is a holdover from the days of limited panels that had next to zero expansion...install 10 units on the same zone, how do you determine which caused the alarm....you got it, latch the detector. Hopefully everyone has moved away from putting multiple powered detectors on the same zone anyhow, it was always a best-practice for the industry and generally a way to see if the tech cared about the install or not.
