GSM Cell phone with Elk M1Gold

I have been looking for an GSM cell phone option that will work with my wireless service (AT&T) and the Elk M1. I have seen a couple of out there (GE and DIY Controls) I want to be able to use my cell provider and then use whatever monitoring service I choose.

Any ideas or experience?

There are several celluar devices available:

Tellular and Uplink are two.

Uplink can directly connect through a M1XSP. The Tellular decodes the telephone communicator data.

I reckon you can use a serial expander and a GSM modem to get SMS data in and out. I don't think this helps you though.

I can vouch for the Uplink... I have had 0 problems since installation, and integration with Elk and NextAlarm monitoring is wonderful. The only problem I faced through the whole process is getting the cable to connect it to the M1-XSP with the Uplink's strange connector.
