While checking Make's holiday gift guide, I found reference to something I have totally forgotten about: the gumstix computer:

Has anyone ever tried using one of these? I bet they would make a nice addition to any intelligent HA controller setup (i.e. the Elk M1). The WaySmall version supports up to 2 serial ports, so this would make a nice intelligent HA/IR controller, and do some of the complex stuff a typical hardware controller can't do.
