Haiku HAI and the iPAD

It is taking a bit longer than expected. We've submitted some changes as per Apple's request and it should be approved very soon. Sorry for the long wait.
The new iPad application seems to be buggy. Temp screens and many others don't show up correctly making a bunch of things useless. Do they test these things! Thank goodness I have Haiku. SJ
I'm not having any luck getting this feature to work. I definitely put in the Flag Unit # on my iPhone 4, but the flag isn't changing state at any point. Is there something I'm missing?

@mhdatx: Its possible you need to adjust the range in Haiku (by zooming in/out in the Location picker view) to be larger based on the cell tower coverage in your area. Look for a "ping" sound when Haiku enters or exits the area. This feature uses cell towers, not GPS, so it depends on how many towers are in your area and how far apart they are.

Two questions:
1. Why am I getting "weather not available" now on the home status screen? I looked under Settings>Haiku and don't see a place to specify a zip or anything, and I don't see a place in the app itself to set the location.
2. Where do I set up proximity detection? I'm on 3.41. Is this a ios5.0 only feature?

I did the exact same thing for a while before I found it. If you go to the Controller selection page in Haiku (tap the book in the top left from the status page), tap on edit, then select your controller it will bring up the proximity and weather location options.

@mhdatx: There is no way to really know what Haiku thinks of the location. It is just notified by iOS on enter/exit of the region. There is no "current location" status, at least not the way its designed right now. The best way is to configure it to around 1200 (YMMV) meters (the last number in the Location value shown on the Edit Controller screen is the radius). Then turn on the sound when testing. Haiku should make a "ping" sound on enter/exit. Another way we test here is to setup a flag and a program on the controller that logs Prox Entered/Prox Exited into the Event Log and then you can see exactly when it works.

Sorry about moving the weather settings, but they had to be moved to the Controller Manager because they are now on a per-controller basis.

what's the format for weather nowadays? I've tried "Atlanta" "Atlanta, GA" and "30328" and I'm still seeing "Weather Not Available"

Any of those should work. Perhaps there is some sort of a connectivity issue? Are you using 3.4 or 3.41? Because 3.41 did fix a small bug where this could happen.

3.41. Currently have it set to a zip code. I've had Haiku for quite a while, so maybe that's why. I'm currently connected to my wireless network at the office. I can try switching over to 3G
