Haiku HAI and the iPAD

It will be $39.99. We feel HaikuHelper now has a very nice feature set. We want as many people as possible to be able to enjoy it so we're keeping it low for the time being. All updates will be free of course for all customers.

I know this might be above and beyond on the interface but any chance we can get program the upb switch via the ipad or iphone? I just replaced a bunch of switches and I don't want to run around with a laptop to program them... It would be really useful but not a common end user function I realize.

Thanks!

Neil

@ lupinglade, thanks for the IT kick in the butt.
I discovered my modem has router capabilities too, so I was behind a double firewall.
Things have worked for 2 years, but I never tried something like connecting via my public IP address, so I never knew the difference.
I disabled the modem router and bridged it to my router, and now everything works perfectly!

This will probably fix my RUC issues too.

Thanks!

Thanks!

When is email becoming an option? I want to setup a pulse counter with my HAI system and have the HAI helper email me the totals every week and then reset the counter.

That's great with the email scripting, much more flexible!

Have you thought about exposing or implementing xmlhttp and perhaps the servers serial ports to the scripting engine? This would really allow easier integration with other devices that use serial or http control. Pro-link is so limited, javascript could do so much more with serial commands.

I have long thought more complete but easy to use scripting would really make an Omni very powerful, I know Homeseer does this but I never really tried it out, last time I looked at it, it was activex/vbscript based and I didn't want to trust my automation to that.

Still would prefer something that ran on Linux as I am probably going with a QNap or Synology device because of their RAID storage and they can act as a Time Machine server and built in IP cam surveillance software. Hey OSX and Linux are both Unixes, should be able to port no problem right ;).

I might have to try this on my MacBook, still looking for beta testers?

You can send push notifications via scripting too. We do plan to add an HTTP interface, not sure about serial, but should be doable.

Yes, the big problem is that the controller does not have real scripting capability.

Sorry, no plans for a Linux version. Haiku/HaikuHelper both heavily depend on Cocoa and Mac OS X. You can do RAID, Time Machine server and camera surveillance on a Mac mini too ;-)

PM me about beta testing if you're interested.
