HAI C3 Power supply noise

I hooked up my new C3 today and all works fine, except I have a low frequency hum on my phone.
I determined that if the power supply for the C3 is not plugged in the noise goes away. I tried to plug the power supply into an extension cord and to a different set of AC outlets and noise is still there. When the C3 runs on battery (with no transformer plugged in) the noise is no longer present.
I then used the power supply for my ELK Ethernet module, since it is the same exact specs. This works perfectly. I notice that the ELK supply has a ferrite magnet on the power cord.
Anyone else have this noise with the C3. I dont have a spare magnet laying around to try.

For quickest results, why not swap your xep power supply with the c3 one. I doubt the "humm" will affect the xep unit.

But I can tell you that my c3 unit did not have any humm issues with the included power supply. I am no longer using that however since I am using an ATX power supply with a 12 and 5v terminal strip that powers all of my low voltage stuff (except 9v).

I suspect if you call hai they will warranty the power supply as well.

Update:

HAI sent me a new power supply. All is working perfectly now. No more hum.

C3 is a pretty slick device.
