HAI Prices Skyrocketing

I am in the process of installing an OmniPro II system in my home.  I researched for close to a year ahead of time comparing HAI to Elk before deciding on HAI.  I then spent six months ordering and accumulating the parts needed for my rather large install (7,500 square foot home).  As I am nearing completion I have been ordering those last minute items as the project grows.  I avidly ordered most of my items from one particular online retailer with great success.  About four days ago their prices doubled to tripled on almost all HAI items.  I emailed them inquiring, but did not get a response.  I have since been ordering my items from elsewhere, however am now seeing these same drastic price increases taking effect across the web.  Is this truly a sign of things to come?

I was on HAI's website a few minutes ago and noticed a new statement on their homepage stating "Because HAI products are designed and intended for professional sale, installation, and service, always purchase from an HAI Listed Dealer."  Is HAI trying to become the next Control4?

I am really starting to regret my choice of HAI over Elk.

Just checked the prices and wow I won't be buying anymore HAI. I put my HAI system in 9 months ago. HAI UPB switches used to be $55 and now are $110. At that price I will have to choose a different switch vendor. I checked a number of parts and everything is basically 2x more for the exact same part number.

Rather to be expected from Leviton.

This may be a good thing for ELK, they can bump their price a bit (nothing like what Leviton has done) without losing sales to Leviton and perhaps pay for a bit more R&D.
